DAY 2 - 9TH DECEMBER 2024

The second day of the Tour of Nilgiris (TFN) 2024

takes cyclists through a challenging but scenic route,

starting from Virajpet and looping through Talakaveri.

This route is renowned for its breathtaking
landscapes and diverse terrain, providing a mix of

steep ascents and exhilarating descents. The highlight

of the day was the climb to Talakaveri, the origin of

the River Kaveri, nestled amidst the lush
Western Ghats. Riders were treated to stunning views and a refreshing climate, making the tough climb worthwhile. The day's ride tested the endurance and skills of the participants, with the varied terrain offering both technical challenges and rewarding scenery. The loop is a blend of
natural beauty and rigorous cycling, making it a memorable day for all
participants.

DAY 4 - 11TH DECEMBER 2024

Day 4 of the Tour of Nilgiris 2024 features a

challenging route from Sultan Bathery to Ooty via

Gudalur. This leg of the tour is approximately 109

kilometers long and 2600+ Meters of Climb and is
known for its scenic beauty and demanding terrain.

Cyclists start from Sultan Bathery, a town in Wayanad,

Kerala, and head towards Gudalur, a picturesque town

in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu.The route includes a gradual climb as riders ascend into the Nilgiri Hills, offering breathtaking views of lush green forests and tea plantations.
The final stretch from Gudalur to Ooty is particularly tough, with steep climbs and winding roads. The day concludes in Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam, a popular hill station known for its pleasant weather and beautiful landscapes. This stage tests cyclists' endurance and climbing abilities while rewarding them with stunning natural vistas.

DAY 6 - 13TH DECEMBER 2024

Day 6 of the Tour of Nilgiris (TFN) 2024 takes cyclists

on a challenging route from Ooty to Kinnakorai and

back. The journey begins in the picturesque town of

Ooty, known for its cool climate and tea gardens.
Riders will descend through lush landscapes,

navigating winding roads that offer stunning views of

the Nilgiri hills. The route includes steep climbs and thrilling descents, testing participants' endurance and cycling skills. Upon reaching Kinnakorai, a serene hamlet nestled amidst nature, cyclists will enjoy a brief respite before retracing their path back to Ooty. The return journey is equally demanding, with the ascent back to Ooty presenting a significant challenge. The day's route,
with its mix of natural beauty and demanding terrain, encapsulates the essence of TFN, offering both adventure and a deep connection with the Nilgiris' breathtaking scenery.

DAY 1 - 8TH DECEMBER 2024

The first day of the Tour of Nilgiris (TFN) 2024 covers

a challenging yet scenic route from Mysuru to Virajpet.

The ride spans approximately 133 kilometers with an

elevation gain of around 1363 meters. Riders will
navigate through the picturesque landscapes of the

Western Ghats,experiencing a variety of terrains

including flat sections, rolling hills, and some steeper

climbs. The day starts in Mysuru, known for its rich

cultural heritage, and progresses towards the lush, green environment of Virajpet, a town in the Kodagu district. Along the way, cyclists will encounter tea estates, dense forests, and serene countryside roads, offering both physical challenges and stunning views. The route includes rest stops and support stations for refreshments and medical assistance, ensuring safety and comfort for all participants

On Day 3 of the Tour of Nilgiris (TFN) 2024, cyclists

embark on a challenging 125 km route from

Virajpet to Sultan Bathery. The day features a

significant elevation gain of 1,625 meters, making it a

tough but scenic ride through the Western Ghats.

The route takes participants through lush tea estates

and dense forests, offering both visual delight and

physical demands. The weather plays a crucial role,
with cyclists aiming to cover maximum distance during the cooler morning hours.
As the day progress, riders faced steep climbs and demanding terrain, testing their endurance and determination. Several support stations along the way provide refreshments and rest, helping riders maintain their energy levels. The journey ends with a competitive segment,adding an exciting finish to the day's challenge

DAY 5 - 12TH DECEMBER 2024

On Day 5 of the Tour of Nilgiris (TFN) 2024, riders

enjoy a much-needed rest day in the picturesque hill

station of Ooty. Nestled in the Nilgiri Hills, Ooty offers

a refreshing break from the challenging routes.

Participants take the opportunity to relax and

rejuvenate, explore the scenic landscapes and

charming town. Many visit the famous Botanical

Gardens, strolled along Ooty Lake, or enjoyed the

serene atmosphere of Doddabetta Peak. The cool, crisp mountain air provide a perfect setting
for riders to unwind and prepare for the final stages of the tour. Local delicacies, like homemade chocolates and fresh tea, added to the day's pleasures. As the sun set over the misty hills, the riders felt refreshed and ready to tackle the upcoming challenges, their spirits buoyed by the beauty and tranquility of Ooty.

Kodanad and back. Starting from Ooty, the route

ascends through lush tea gardens and picturesque

landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the Nilgiri Hills. The climb to Kodanad is notable for its steep gradients and sharp turns, testing riders’ endurance and technical skills. Kodanad, known for its serene beauty and panoramic vistas, provides a perfect

midway pointfor a brief respite. The return leg to Ooty continues through rolling terrain and lush greenery, with a mix of descents and moderate climbs. This stage is not only a test of physical stamina but also an opportunity to enjoy the spectacular natural beauty of the Nilgiris. Riders can expect a demanding day with rewarding views and a well-deserved
sense of accomplishment upon reaching the finish line in Ooty.

OFF PARTY is set to be a joyous conclusion to an epic adventure,
