We are just a small bunch of people who get together and volunteer their time through the year to make TFN happen as a sort of a finale to the year. Some have ridden atleast one TFN and then gotten hooked on to organize. Others have not ridden even one yet but have been on most, to ensure a good ride for others. There is a common thread of passion to see it run one more year that possibly fuels our endeavor year on year and before we know it, we are on the threshold of the first edition of the second decade.
So, although we run a tour, we are not tour operators! We do not pretend to be able to make this the best in accommodation, food, service or anything of that sort that makes up a regular tour. Although we do provide all that and make our best effort there, what we are most interested in is to provide a good platform for cycling for the duration of a week.
We have been told that we pamper the riders a lot – may be so. We don’t see anything wrong with that yet. We have also been told that something or the other hasn’t worked well or has been handled badly – definitely possible. We welcome feedback. We think these through and try to implement what changes we can to make it better. Some of them work and some of them don’t and some work in different ways than we envisaged. But it is a heck of a ride and we are all the better off for it. The fact that we have had loads of new riders every year, that riders repeat the tour and repeat it multiple times in many cases, proves that we are on the right track.
We thank all the riders, volunteers and sponsors who have made this journey a most wonderful and memorable ride – so far and for many years to come!!
